The new VRS Cats (Viper Racing Series Offshore Catamarans)

The new VRS65 offshore cat , this will be the first of my hulls to be carbon vacuum infused, this is done to save on weight being such a large hull and to add strength. The last five hulls I have made have only weighed 4KG with no compensation on strength. It has been designed to accommodate twin engines of your choice one engine in each of it's sponsons or you can still go with the single engine and mount it on top of the tunnel. I do not charge extra for engine rails to be installed like other builders in Australia.
This hull has been designed to handle better in the cornering, where the other cats this size will have to slow down to turn, you can maintain your speed as it is 1 1/2 inches wider than a CT03 and there is no compensation on it's speed. This will fit into class 1 or class 2 category of the AMPBA offshore rules if you decide you want to race them.
65 inch cat in white gelcoat with high gloss finish, full carbon infused $1750.00. This is for full carbon lay up not glass with carbon over the top like competitors do. If you require a carbon finish instead of the white high gloss gelcoat finish there is an extra charge of $150.00 due to extra labour and cost of clear gelcoat.
I also offer a fibreglass version still vacuum infused for $1250.00 but it is no way as strong or as light as the carbon version.
Please note I have been building cat hulls from fibreglass and carbon since 2009 and I have had several cat hulls of my own in all sizes from 45 inches up to 66 inches in length and tested everyone for performance and handling and I do not compromise on anything and do not sell off to customers the boats that don't go properly or the ones that I am not happy with or let my customers do my testing for me. Before any of my boat hulls are put out for sale, with all of them I have done a prototype and tested and changed it if needed for better performance and handling so you only have to buy ounce and not have to upgrade when the new model comes out in six or eight months time. Quality satisfaction.

The VRS52 Cat to your left is actually 52 inches or 1300 mm in total length but due to new offshore rules that were introduced in October last year they are measured by the weted area which makes this cat 47 inches and can be run in Lights class or open cat class which ever you would like to run in. There is also a new 60 inch cat available soon and the wetted area will be just over 55 inches so it can be used in offshore class one and two depending on what cc capacity you would like to run, either single engine up to 31cc for class one or twin engines for class two. The original cat had no ride plates where as the newly designed cat now has ride plates 20 mm in width and helps assist the cat to get out of the water with ease. It will accommodate any 26 cc and up to 30.5 cc engine whether it's a Zenoah, RCMK or Quickdraw which is my personal favourite. If you wanted to it will also accommodate 2 x rear exhaust engines side by side on top of the tunnel or one motor each in the sponsons.
Cat in plain white gelcoat with high gloss fining $620.00 I now offer this same cat in carbon fibre which is vacuum infused @ $860.00 in white high gloss gelcoat finish. |
